Beatrice de Graaf is als Universitair Hoofddocent en onderzoeker verbonden aan het CTC.
Beatrice de Graaf is als Universitair Hoofddocent en onderzoeker verbonden aan het CTC. Zij coördineert en verricht onderzoek. Ze voert tevens een vidi-project uit naar 'the making of a national security state in the Western world, 1945 until present'.
Daarnaast houdt ze zich bezig met de inhoudelijke opzet van een onderzoeksdatabase radicalisering en (contra-)terrorisme.
Als Research Fellow is Beatrice de Graaf verbonden aan het ICCT. Vanaf september 2010 maakt zij deel uit van de Research Group van het NIAS, 'Terrorists on Trial'.

Enemies of the state
Vanaf 2009 werkt Beatrice de Graaf o.a. aan het onderzoeksproject waarvoor zij een VIDI subsidie heeft ontvangen:
Enemies of the State: the making of a national security state in the western world, 1945-2001
De naoorlogse overheid was niet alleen de hoeder van de democratie en het nationale welzijn, maar hield haar burgers en veiligheidsbelangen ook goed in de gaten. Dit project reconstrueert de totstandkoming van ‘nationale dreigingen’ en hun betekenis voor de nationale identiteit in vier westerse landen.
